Spotted on this morning's bird walk by McCormick Place, a tattered Monarch.

Tempus fugit!
The waving prairie, speckled with a few still blooming asters and sculptural drying Rattlesnack Master stalks, hisses soak up these fall days.
With a silent swoosh, the young Cooper's Hawk glides through a group of humans standing closely together, all looking intently through their binoculars at a distant tree. Chirping "Which warbler? Is it a...? Wait, could it be a... Where...?
Undeterred, and unnoticed, the hawk's attention is fixed on the bird that could be breakfast.
