Pen, paper and 20 minutes. That's all I need.
A little stone chapel at the foot of the hill. Red roof, a cross on top, nobody around. So I stood there and drew it.
I call these my quick sketches. Chinese ink, right there on the spot, and then straight away the watercolour goes on. 20 to 30 minutes, no more. No eraser either. What's on the paper stays on the paper.
It's a bit like taking a photo. But slower.
And you remember it better.
