Me quedé sin palabras. The NYC Marathon was once an inconceivable dream of mine. I cheered on marathoners for years never thinking that could or would be me. How lucky am I to have been so wrong ❤️ My first marathon, and the first in my family. This race was for them, in honor of their story of migration to the best city in the world. They touched down in Queens, got married in Brooklyn, my mom worked in the Bronx, and I’ve planted roots in Harlem. I took a run not only through NYC but through my family’s journey here. Their grit has always reassured me that soy capaz de lo que sea, even when at times, I don’t believe it myself. What an honor it was to raise money for @nylagnews. Now more than ever, legal aid is so needed, especially for our immigrant New Yorkers I’m so thankful for all the love and support. Ayer, ustedes y esta ciudad me dieron un abrazote que jamás olvidaré First in my bloodline to say I’m a MF MARATHONER!!!!! Qué locura! 🗽🪽 Special agradecimiento to my running family @pasorunclub @svintsrunclub @palmasny. You’ve turned miles into moments I could never forget @jorge.photog behind the lens of course 🫶🏽
CRSD Mondays. Each Monday, we highlight a story that reflects our values: Composure, Resilience, Self-Discipline, and Determination.
Those who share their stories receive a CRSD coin - earned, never bought - symbolizing the resolve to overcome and prevail, no matter how dark things get. Today, we are proud to introduce Corey, aka @coreykwilliams as the 27th recipient of the coin. Here is his story: « March 28th, 2025 I suffered a stroke during a basic surgical procedure to remove a bunch of lipomas. My life was dramatically impacted as I had left side deficits that affected walking, driving, speech, etc. Anxiety and depression sets in and life feels dark and heavy. Thankfully through family, hardcore, and motorcycles, I had an incredible support system. I’ve been Straight Edge for 34 years now and played in many bands but Carry On, Piece by Piece and Internal Affairs are the more notable ones. Harley tech for 14 years at Nassau Harley. 25 years after Carry On broke up, we decided to reunite. I couldn’t play guitar and had to reteach myself to play which was probably the best PT for my hand, heart, and mind. 2026 I played a couple shows with PBP and Carry On. The healing it has done to my mental state is priceless. So fortunate to play with Nick Todd Ryan and Greg again and having it feel better than it ever did. As for motorcycles, hopefully one day I’ll be back on 2 wheels for personal enjoyment. Still too many mental and physical road blocks, but hoping that will change with time. Shout out to Chris Brodie Scott and the Saviors Crew for always checking in on me. Greg Flack and Dennis McDonald for the endless phone calls. And to my incredible wife Pam that gives me the strength to push on. Thank you CRSD for sharing these stories! » Be sure to check @fxdlsbrooklyn YouTube channel for more details on Cory’s bike and story! . . . . . #crsd #crsdcoin #crsdmondays #luckisalie #forevercrsd
The thirteenth try usually beats the first one that took forever 🥞 Early attempts may come out burnt or lopsided, but each one teaches your hands something no amount of careful planning can. Repetition sharpens skill faster than perfection ever will. By the time the careful one finishes a single attempt, the other has a full stack and the confidence that comes with it. Make more, learn more, and let quality grow from volume. #Mindset #Practice #Consistency #TakeAction #PersonalGrowth

Wellness looks a little different for each of us, but one thing we have in common? Making ourselves a priority. 🤍 We spent a beautiful weekend at @canyonranch focused on movement, nourishing meals, mindfulness, rest, and the kind of connection that reminds you how good it feels to slow down and take care of YOU. As women in midlife and beyond, we know wellness isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about the small, consistent habits that add up and finding what works for your season of life. We were so happy to have @swansonvitamins as our wellness partner for this special gathering, sharing everyday wellness essentials that fit into our individual routines. Because feeling our best starts with the little things we do for ourselves, day after day. Six women. Six unique routines. One shared reminder: it’s never too late to invest in yourself. ✨ This is wellness, the ProAge way. #TheProAgeProject #SwansonVitamins #SwansonPartner #ProAge #MidlifeWellness WellnessJourney HealthyAging Ad
