You can do everything right and still be exposed to microplastics and forever chemicals...

That was one of the things I said in one of my latest Deep Dive episodes with Emily from my clinical team.

I don’t say it to scare you. I say it because I’d rather you hear the truth and feel empowered than think you have to live in a bubble.

Here’s the truth…Toxins are everywhere.

Your body is also AMAZINGLY resilient, and it’s built to clear this stuff when it has what it needs.

So we start with the exits.

If you’re not having a bowel movement at least once a day, you’re not using one of your main detox pathways.

Sweating is another one, whether that’s a sauna, an Epsom salt bath, or a workout.

And sleep matters more than people realize, because that’s when your body does a lot of its cleanup.

Then we give your body the raw materials.

Your body makes glutathione, its master antioxidant, from protein and sulfur-rich foods like onions, garlic, eggs, asparagus, and Brussels sprouts.

Aim for 25 to 30 grams of fiber a day, drink enough water, and add electrolytes.

Then do the best you can and let the rest go. Living in fear of every exposure is stressful for your cells too. ❤️❤️❤️

Comment 521 and I’ll send you the full episode.

What are your thoughts on this?

Americans can’t walk to work like Europeans do, so they’re finding new ways to get their steps in.

Walking makes up about 26% of all trips in the UK, more than double the roughly 12% in the US, where most cities were designed around cars instead of sidewalks.

Since walking isn’t built into the average American’s day, people are turning their steps into a game with real stakes.

Apps like Steppa let users put money on hitting their daily step goals, and everyone who finishes splits the pot, with the company reporting that people walk about 34% more per day during challenges.

It’s a uniquely American fix, but the payoff is the same on either side of the Atlantic. Stanford research has linked walkable cities to higher activity levels, and a 2025 study in The Lancet Public Health tied hitting 7,000 steps a day to a 47% lower mortality risk compared to just 2,000.
