Full Length Mecha Suit is a “work of pure ignition,” a suite of poems traveling mecha-style and guided by a 17th century celestial atlas in search of belated fragments of song, which pulse “along the skin barrier.” Baker returns from her “studies in the content areas,” reminding us again and again, intimately and expansively, that “this world is the only no place / to live.”

Dani Baker is a poet from San Francisco who lives in New York City. She is the author of The Streamers (Spiral Editions). Her work appears or is forthcoming in the Cleveland Review of Books, The Baffler, Keith LLC, Tagvverk, Noir Sauna, Denver Quarterly, and elsewhere. She’s the co-editor of Topos Press, the publishing arm of Topos Bookstore in Ridgewood, Qns.
