Fun fact: before a Sitano dress ever lands on our site (or on the racks of the shops we love), it starts as a sketch from Mary Scott.
Not everyone knows she’s an artist, too. Every style begins with her drawing and designing it, and then she and Merrill take it from there. They choose the fabric, land on the colors, obsess over the details, try on sample after sample, work with our manufacturers, and plan the photo shoots that finally introduces it to you.
It takes more hours than you’d guess. It also takes room: room to sketch it again, change the color, rethink the detail, and let an idea become exactly what it’s meant to be. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
