Our name comes from Positano, the cliffside town on Italy’s Amalfi Coast where the days seem made for slowing down. It seems that somewhere along the way, we all decided that kind of ease belongs only to vacation. We don’t buy it. This is your reminder that the long lunch, the sunshine, the good book and the song on repeat aren’t only for vacation. Our styles are made to help you live leisurely each and every day, no matter the occasion. New collection touching down soon 🌞 by @sitano_official
Mary Scott and Merrill met in middle school and made it through some very awkward stages side by side. College sent them in different directions, and they haven’t lived in the same city since: Athens, Memphis, Dallas, New Orleans, Paris, Philadelphia, New York, Charlotte. Through all of it, the friendship never skipped a beat. In early 2021, after a year of lockdowns and living in exercise clothes, they were both craving a real vacation and something better to wear on it. They couldn’t find that perfect cover-up, so they decided to make it together. That’s how Sitano started. Five years later, we’re celebrating having Merrill transition to full-time at Sitano. Both founders, all in. For them, this means getting to put their full effort and creativity into the brand they dreamed up together, making pieces that help you slow down, escape a little, and feel good in what you wear. Getting to call this their career is something neither of them takes for granted. To every woman building something of her own: keep chasing it. And choose your partner wisely. The right one makes the hard days lighter and the good days so much sweeter. Thank you for being part of the story so far. We can’t wait to show you what’s next as we prepare for our Resort collection next month đŸ©” Female Founded | Resort Wear | Beach to Brunch Style | Crochet Coverups | Live Leisurely by @sitano_official

Today, Sitano turns 4 đŸ„‚ Four years ago, we started Sitano with one simple idea: vacation dressing should feel as effortless as the vacation itself. We wanted to create pieces that made women feel comfortable, confident, and chic, so they could spend less time thinking about what to wear and more time enjoying where they are. What began with the perfect cover-up has grown into a vacation lifestyle brand, now found in over 100 stores and resorts across the country. Along the way, we’ve been lucky enough to work with incredible retailers, creators, and partners who have helped bring our vision to life. Today, we’re taking a moment to soak it all in. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built, but even more grateful for the community that’s grown alongside us. Thank you for packing Sitano in your suitcases, taking us along on your adventures, and believing in us from the beginning. Here’s to four years of Sitano, and many more of living leisurely🌞 Female Founded Brands | Its Our Birthday | Resort Season Dressing | What to Pack for Vacation | Building a Brand by @sitano_official

To us, living leisurely is more than a tagline. It’s a way of moving through each and every day. living leisurely (v.): Taking the trip. Wearing the dress. Letting lunch turn into dinner and saying yes to one more swim. It’s choosing ease over effort, joy over perfect, and actually being on vacation instead of posing like you are. The moments that made SitanođŸ«¶ In September 2021, Mary Scott and Merrill put pen to paper on a simple idea: the perfect beach cover-up, the kind that makes you feel comfortable, confident and chic no matter the destination. The plan was to launch by May 2022. But like any good vacation, it ran a little long. Sitano officially arrived in November 2022, and we haven’t slowed down since 👉 We launched Sitano with just 12 styles. Today there are more than 60. Alongside the cover-ups that started it all, you’ll now find easy tees, dinner sweaters and dresses made for every part of the trip, from the beach to lunch to one more round. Each one is designed to move with you, simple, elevated and ready for every leisurely moment 👉 2024 marked Mary Scott’s first year working full-time on the brand, and Sitano made its way into 30 shops. That number grew to 60 retailers in 2025 and 100 this year, and we’re heading into 2027 with more than 120 wholesale partners! Along the way, we were welcomed by @seaisland and the @gasparillainn in 2024, @shopsaintbernard and @renttherunway in 2025, and Nordstrom in 2026. So on your next trip, keep an eye out! You might spot a familiar look 👉 Until November 2025, Merrill would ship all orders out of her house. Her family deserves a thank-you of their own. Last fall we finally moved into our first warehouse, with room to grow and room to get your orders out the door a little faster 👉 Which brings us to now, a moment where we celebarte Merrill, our co-founder and COO, joining Sitano full-time 🎉 She’s the one behind the scenes making sure inventory, merchandising and wholesale run smoothly, and now she can give all of that her full attention. To everyone who has packed Sitano, gifted it, tagged us from the beach, or come back for a second (or third) piece: you’re the reason we’re here. And to our incredible wholesale partners who brought Sitano to their shelves, thank you for believing in us. Here’s to the next getaway. Live leisurely 🌞 xx the Sitano Team by @sitano_official
Our co-founder Merrill took a few of our coming-soon-styles on her recent family beach trip and of course, we had to share! Swipe to see our cover-ups doing what they do best: turning an ordinary beach day into something effortlessly chic, even when mom duty calls. No big production. Just a small team, a lot of heart, and a vision we’ve been dreaming about for a while now. Photoshoots take a lot of planning and coordination but they are honestly one of our favorite parts of the job! We can’t wait to introduce you to these new resort styles (and more!) soon🌞 P.S. Be sure to get on our email list for early access when they drop 📍 Shaw’s Cove Beach @hoteljoaquin | @sophiabaser | @jonroberts.co Female Founded | Resort Wear Season | Laguna Beach Photoshoot | Behind the Scenes on Set | Brunch to Beach Style by @sitano_official
Fun fact: before a Sitano dress ever lands on our site (or on the racks of the shops we love), it starts as a sketch from Mary Scott. Not everyone knows she’s an artist, too. Every style begins with her drawing and designing it, and then she and Merrill take it from there. They choose the fabric, land on the colors, obsess over the details, try on sample after sample, work with our manufacturers, and plan the photo shoots that finally introduces it to you. It takes more hours than you’d guess. It also takes room: room to sketch it again, change the color, rethink the detail, and let an idea become exactly what it’s meant to be. We wouldn’t have it any other way. Every order, every tag, and every “it was perfect on my honeymoon” or “I wore it every day on my beach trip” message still make our day (seriously, it never gets old).
