Meet Marisa, a @boisestatesocialwork alum who found her job at the Boise State Career Fair.
Marisa started working at CenterPointe in 2023 as a Registered Behavioral Technician. She worked in this role for three years while completing her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Boise State. Upon graduation of her Master of Social Work program, Marisa stepped into the role of Mental Health Counselor in May of 2026.
Marisa chose CenterPointe because she values working with children and families and felt that CenterPointe would help her gain the hands-on experience she would need to advance her career. CenterPointe stood out because of their flexible scheduling which allowed her to continue her education while working. She chose to stay with CenterPointe after getting her master’s because of the fun and collaborative environment where she truly feels supported by management.
