Christian authors #HeatherDay and her husband, #SethDay, both 39, are facing serious charges after their 14-year-old daughter reported alleged physical and s*xual abuse. According to court documents, the teen told investigators her father repeatedly assaulted her, including a September 22 incident where he allegedly struck her in the face and chest with her cellphone, leaving visible bruises and cuts. Investigators say Heather knew about the alleged abuse but failed to intervene. She’s also accused of encouraging her daughter to wear a face mask to hide injuries and telling medical professionals she didn’t know how the injuries happened. Even more disturbing, the teen reportedly told investigators she had been led to believe an autoimmune condition explained her injuries. Authorities also confirmed previous Child Protective Services reports involving the family. Seth, a psychology professor, faces charges of injury to a child and s*xual assault of a child. Heather faces a charge of injury to a child by omission. The couple, who co-authored a bestselling Christian relationship book, have since been released on bond with ankle monitors. They’re prohibited from contacting the children under a protective order. Heather has denied the allegations. Read more stories like this at OnsiteGlobalMedia.us (link in bio)
