📚 A look at today’s HRAP Clinic class with our guest lecturer, Professor Fernanda Frizzo Bragato! 📚

Professor Bragato teaches Constitutional Law and Human Rights at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre, southern Brazil, and is a researcher with CNPq, Brazil’s National Council for Scientific and Technological Development. She was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Cardozo Law in 2017. Her research and publications explore human rights theory, decolonial thinking, and Indigenous rights, and since 2015 she has focused on Indigenous land conflicts in Brazil in the context of atrocity risk. She holds a law degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and a Master’s and PhD in Law from Unisinos.

Today, she spoke with our students about the international legal framework for protecting and promoting the human rights of Indigenous peoples, with a focus on land and natural resource rights.
