Aloe mitriformis—native to SW Cape—offered @thehuntingtonlibrary (HBG 82985) as part of their annual introduction (ISI 2019-19). According to van Wyk & Smith’s guide to the ALOES OF SOUTH 🇿🇦 AFRICA (p.4-5) this species is not threatened in the wild. 🤪 My other specimen seems to be growing at a very different speed (p.5-8) even though they were once the same size. 🤔

Same-size mitriformis growing at totally different speeds is so cool. Curious which one gets more sun.
