Sensex fell nearly 1.5% today, and it looks like Nifty is heading towards its 10th consecutive week of closing in the red. 📉
In weeks like these, even non-directional traders like us have to pick a bias.
This week, we positioned accordingly — selling only around 10% puts, while 80–90% of our positions were on the call side.
Despite the VIX rising by nearly 10% and the market falling around 1.5%, we still managed to close the expiry profitably.
More importantly, this turned out to be an extremely smooth and highly profitable expiry for option sellers. The market gave sellers enough premium decay without the kind of sharp spikes that can make expiry days difficult.
Overall, one of those easy expiry days where option sellers could make good money with the right positioning and risk management.
Stay sharp, stay in the game.
