Pravednije, slobodnije i solidarnije društvo.

GEORGIA STATE STUDENTS RUSH TO PROTECT DINING HALL EMPLOYEE AFTER MAN ALLEGEDLY ATTACKS WORKER WITH A CHAIR!

A frightening confrontation inside Georgia State University’s Piedmont Central dining hall in Atlanta reportedly turned violent after a man who was not authorized to enter the facility allegedly attacked an employee. Video circulating online shows a man throwing a chair during the confrontation before several students rushed to intervene and help protect the worker. INSTEAD OF STANDING AROUND RECORDING, THESE STUDENTS STEPPED IN WHEN THEY SAW SOMEONE IN DANGER.

LET’S TALK ABOUT THE COURAGE IT TAKES TO HELP SOMEONE WHEN A SITUATION TURNS VIOLENT. These students reportedly acted to protect a worker who was simply doing their job. Their willingness to help deserves recognition, but this incident also raises serious questions about campus security and how an unauthorized individual gained access to the dining hall. NO EMPLOYEE SHOULD HAVE TO FEAR BEING ATTACKED AT WORK, AND NO STUDENT SHOULD HAVE TO RISK THEIR SAFETY BECAUSE SECURITY FAILED TO PREVENT A DANGEROUS SITUATION. Georgia State must ensure its students and employees have a safe environment.

Halle Berry is pushing back against Olivier Martinez’s claims that a photo taken by their 13-year-old son supports allegations of abuse.
_____________________________________________
In new court documents obtained by TMZ, Berry argues that the image shows her standing calmly with her hands in her pockets several feet away from Maceo. She says the photo does not show any bruises, redness, or injuries that would support Martinez’s allegation that she strangled their son.

Berry further claimed Martinez selectively presented text messages and omitted important context to portray her negatively. She also alleged that Maceo’s behavior at school worsened after a temporary restraining order was issued and that he received a full week of disciplinary detention. Martinez has asked that Maceo be allowed to testify about the alleged incident. Berry denies abusing him, saying they were playfully roughhousing before the situation escalated.

I wrote a book over the past two years while living in Paris.

It’s called Day 2.

It’s about the life that begins when life as we know it ends.

I learned so much about myself and other people along the way.

And now Day 2 is becoming something more. We’re filming a show, bringing people together, and seeing where this goes.

I’ll share more over the next couple of months. I’d love for you to join me if Day 2 speaks to you. @day2.media
