Chapter 2: The Art Gallery. Some things deserve a second look. A painting, the light on a gallery wall, the person beside you pretending to study the same piece you are. This is the part where the conversation comes easy. Where teasing turns into laughing, and the glances last a little longer than either of them planned. Chapter 3 unfolds 10.22.26. Missed Chapter 1? Katie Zacharia’s time as White House press secretary has reportedly come to an abrupt end, just days after President Donald Trump appointed her to the position. According to NBC News and Reuters, Zacharia was removed from the role after a brief tenure that began earlier this week. Her departure follows growing scrutiny surrounding her legal credentials and a rocky first appearance before White House reporters. Zacharia, who replaced Karoline Leavitt, delivered her first White House press briefing on Tuesday (Oct. 13). The briefing lasted approximately 14 minutes, with Zacharia taking questions from just three news outlets before ending the session. Questions about her professional background also surfaced after Trump introduced her as an attorney. Although Zacharia graduated from Pepperdine Law School, she acknowledged during an interview with Fox News that she did not pass the bar exam and never attempted it again. She has maintained that she worked in international transaction law while living in China. Speaking to reporters Friday (Oct. 16), Trump said he had encouraged Zacharia to reconsider the position because of the intense public scrutiny. He also defended her against criticism from the media. Her departure comes less than a week after her appointment was announced.
