A Threads post from prissygirl80 went viral after she told her “perimenopause ladies” she spent six minutes looking for keys that were in her hand, adding “it’s advancing.” The post pulled more than 15,000 likes and nearly 2,400 replies from women sharing their own brain fog moments: searching for the phone they were talking on, hunting for glasses on their heads, calling the refrigerator “the garage,” finding the TV remote in the freezer. The laughs come with real research behind them. A 2025 study from UVA Health and Flo found that 55.4% of women ages 30 to 35 reported moderate to severe symptoms associated with perimenopause, and most did not seek help until their 50s. The Study of Women’s Health Across the Nation found Black women reach menopause about 8.5 months earlier than white women on average and deal with hot flashes for around 10 years. #NEWS - #HassanKariem, an Atlanta Public Schools educator, had already overcome several life-threatening challenges before his tragic death, according to family friend Elicia Day. Day revealed that Kariem was a cancer survivor and had recently escaped a car fire alongside his daughter just weeks before his passing. “We’re absolutely devastated by this loss. Any loss of a family member or friend is tragic, but to lose him in this manner, this way, is beyond what words can even express,” Day said.
