Milwaukee was magnificent! This will go down as one of my favorite marathons! I’m still high from the experience! All of the volunteers were so friendly & helpful from the expo to the finish. The expo was small & organized, with plenty of vendors and a variety of official merch for purchase. I stayed at a downtown hotel walking distance from the start. Downtown Milwaukee is full of hotels, restaurants, bars, things to do…no rental car needed! Race morning the start was easy and organized. The marathon & half started at the same time. Plenty of space for everyone to run, no bobbing & weaving. We spilt from the half marathoners at around Mile 11. My Garmin was not working properly bc of all the buildings. I ran with the 4:10 pacer and was very pleased finishing in 4:07. The course is beautiful and vibrant, with the scenery constantly changing and fun crowds of people the whole route! I was really surprised by the crowd support! My fav part of the course is when we ran north along the lake.
