The NYC Marathon was just incredible! Finally laying down and going thru all my videos and pictures, and it’s hard to put into words this experience. It’s definitely in my top 5 life experiences!🩷

Every borough, every neighborhood, showed up! They were all so special, although Brooklyn and the Bronx have my heart 🫶 The amount of spectators that are out along the WHOLE course is just nuts! I even got a high five from Olympic Medalist Laurie Hernandez in Brooklyn!! 🥳

The bridges weren’t bad, but that 5th Avenue incline and the Central Park hills at the end were brutal, and an uphill finish was a killer 🫠 But still, so fun! 🙌

From @archduke_elliott , who chased me around all day, throwing confetti and keeping me going at Mile 21, when I really thought I was done 😂 Then Shawn and the girls greeting me when I got onto First Ave, was the absolute best. Everyone who texted me during the race, with the messages popping up on my watch, I loved it! And to everyone who left me Rally messages, you carried me the entire way. They made me laugh, cry, and everything in between 🩷

And to @youngsurvivalcoalition , thank you so much for this opportunity! It was the experience of a lifetime and I’ll carry this with me forever! 🩷

I love you all, thank you so much to everyone that cheered me on, donated, and supported this crazy idea of mine! 🩷

And if you still want to donate, my fundraising page is still open for a little longer!

Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon - State 15, Marathon 20 @milwaukeelakefrontmarathon
Milwaukee was magnificent! This will go down as one of my favorite marathons! I’m still high from the experience! All of the volunteers were so friendly & helpful from the expo to the finish. The expo was small & organized, with plenty of vendors and a variety of official merch for purchase. I stayed at a downtown hotel walking distance from the start. Downtown Milwaukee is full of hotels, restaurants, bars, things to do…no rental car needed! Race morning the start was easy and organized. The marathon & half started at the same time. Plenty of space for everyone to run, no bobbing & weaving. We spilt from the half marathoners at around Mile 11. My Garmin was not working properly bc of all the buildings. I ran with the 4:10 pacer and was very pleased finishing in 4:07. The course is beautiful and vibrant, with the scenery constantly changing and fun crowds of people the whole route! I was really surprised by the crowd support! My fav part of the course is when we ran north along the lake. Definitely add Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon to your list! #thisis45 #marathon #milwaukee #bmr by @archduke_elliott

Medal Monday - Sioux Falls Marathon @sfmarathon - Marathon #19, State #14 South Dakota
I really enjoyed this marathon! The expo was small, easy packet pickup. I stayed at the host hotel (Sheraton) and literally walked out of my room to the start line 10min before the start! Which was perfect bc it was a little chilly, didn’t have to worry about throw away clothes. The course is very scenic. Miles 1-9 takes you thru the historic downtown area, pass Sioux Falls, and down the Sioux River. Miles 9-14 is thru neighborhoods. There were some hills in this section as well as the first 3 miles of the course. After Mile 14 back along the river. Miles 14-25 there’s no tree cover, thankfully it was cloudy. The weather was near perfect, just the wind gusts out of the north really slowed me down and taxed my energy the last 4 miles. I was still able to finish strong just a couple minutes shy of my target time. #thisis45💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Two strong critiques of this race. The first is they provide Powerade on the course. There are much better sports drink options out there. For this reason I ran with my own hydration. The second is three hydration stations had water only. Two of those were at the crucial latter Miles 18.5 and 22. It really makes no sense to not supply all stations with a sports drink. Race organizers try to justify everything they do. However as runners we have seen better and should start leaving critical reviews of these races to warn other runners. Everybody wants to have a marathon and charge $100 average, at the very least provide adequate hydration. by @archduke_elliott

Medal Monday! Fargo Marathon! 13th State
and 18th Marathon! Fargo is a small city with small town vibes. I found some cool cocktail bars downtown, ate good, and had warm interactions with the people I met along the way. I didn’t rent a car, got around using uber and the local bus. The expo was nice and big for a marathon of this size. Marathon day was warm from the start. I started out slow and slowed down even more 17 miles in. The goal was to just finish with the heat, and general fatigue I was feeling. The course is flat, not scenic - going from one neighborhood to another, hitting downtown twice. I ran with my own hydration because the stations were spaced out way too much for the way I sweat. The half marathoners started 15 minutes after the marathon start, however I found myself bobbing & weaving through back of the pack half marathoners miles 7-10. I asked course volunteers twice if I was still on the marathon course because it really threw me off. Overall the experience was good, UFF DA! @fargo.marathon #marathon #44 #obamayear #runner #fargomarathon by @archduke_elliott

Central Park layout today, soaking up the sun, people watching, enjoying the vibes. by @archduke_elliott

For my long run on Saturday I took the train to my old stomping grounds at the top of Manhattan, ran a few miles around Inwood Hill Park, and then down the Hudson River to the bottom of Manhattan for 20 miles. @fargo.marathon in 4 weeks! 😊 Follow me on Strava Archduke Elliott by @archduke_elliott
