Meg Carlson

This is the larger of the two Steller’s jays that frequent my porch. It never begs for a handout; it just sits all floofed up, usually in the wisteria. But I watched it today with its comb down and feet/toes in relaxed positions, which generally indicates a relaxed state in birds. I’m glad my front porch can provide a sense of safety and comfort even when not plying them with goodies. #stellersjay #corvid #backyardbirds #relaxation #iphonephotography
