Non tutte le cascate dell'Umbria sono le Marmore. 💧
A Pale, sopra Foligno, il Menotre scende in una serie di salti dentro il Parco dell'Altolina. Il sentiero parte da Belfiore, è quasi tutto pianeggiante e si fa in circa un'ora. La prima cascata si chiama Velo della Sposa e nasconde dietro l'acqua l'ingresso di una piccola grotta.
Fino all'Ottocento questo torrente muoveva le cartiere: nel 1472 la prima edizione a stampa della Divina Commedia fu prodotta proprio su carta di Pale.
Un posto piccolo con una storia enorme. 📖

Not every waterfall in Umbria is the Marmore. 💧
At Pale, above Foligno, the Menotre drops through a series of falls inside the Altolina Park. The path starts at Belfiore, runs almost flat and takes about an hour. The first fall is called the Bride's Veil, and behind the water it hides the entrance to a small cave.
Until the 1800s this stream powered paper mills: in 1472 the first printed edition of the Divine Comedy was produced on paper from Pale.
A small place with an enormous story. 📖
