1: Daily walks. This one is simple, easy, free, and you may already be doing it, but do not undermine it. A body in motion stays in motion. Walking helps with getting steps in and burning calories of course, but walking after meals can certainly aid in digestion. Daily walks are especially important if you have a job that requires you to sit for long periods of time.
2: Reading ingredient labels. Even if you don’t know what you’re looking at, at first. When you see it enough times you start to see trends and notice certain numbers, both good and bad. And like I said, even if you’re not specifically tracking, it helps to know what you’re putting in your body because at the end of the day, if you’re not tracking you’re just guessing.
3: Take yourself seriously. Every time you say you’re going to do something and you don’t follow through, you diminish your own credibility; whether you realize it or not. And the more you do it, the easier it is to do. To the point where your word means nothing. You say you’re going to start on Monday when you know you won’t. This is dangerous because it can be very damaging to your mental health. At the end of the day, if you can’t take yourself seriously, why would anyone else? Bottom line if you say you’re going to do something, do it.
