Lynette K Henderson

My first oil painting in MANY years! Portrait of a turkey vulture (a study),
9" x12". Wow - the color is so amazing in oils; no problem keeping the luminosity. No thinners, but I did use a little bit of my previous favorite drying medium, Liquin. Walnut oil for cleanup.

I am still working in acrylic as I love that too, so we'll see where this goes! I have a series of small works planned....

AND - LAST CHANCE TO VIEW "SANCTUARY" IN PERSON - tomorrow, Saturday 10/10, from 11-12:30 pm.

Location: Shoebox Projects at the Brewery Artist Lofts. 660 South Avenue 21 #3, Los Angeles.

(fyi - this is not my photo of a vulture; found this amongst some of my ancient printouts of animals, perfect for a study).
