A Catholic woman who voted for Donald Trump explains that she is a single-issue voter. Her issue? Abortion.

But that raises a much bigger question: What does it actually mean to be pro-life?

What about children killed by gun violence? Families struggling to afford healthcare? Children suffering in Gaza? Sexual abuse within the Catholic Church? Violence against police officers on January 6? And allegations of sexual misconduct against Donald Trump?

If protecting innocent life is the guiding principle, shouldn’t those issues matter too?

In this video, I examine the contradictions of single-issue voting, the influence of religious institutions on political beliefs, and how abortion became a major dividing line in American politics.

Faith and religious doctrine are not the same thing as unquestioning political loyalty.

Step inside designer Harriet Anstruther’s (@harrietanstrutherstudio_) idyllic English countryside famrhouse and gardens! 🌷

After restoring the rambling farmhouse with architect Tom Turner, Harriet filled its rooms with a deeply personal mix of inherited antiques, family treasures, art, and unexpected finds. Golden tones, rich pattern, and layered details unfold from room to room, creating interiors that feel both intimate and full of discovery. Many of the objects carry a personal history, including pieces inherited from her father, making the house as much a portrait of Harriet as it is a study in design.

ON THIS DAY: Christ the Redeemer marks 95 years overlooking Rio de Janeiro.

The iconic statue of Jesus Christ was inaugurated on October 12, 1931, following years of construction atop Brazil's Mount Corcovado.

Designed by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa with contributions from French sculptor Paul Landowski and Romanian sculptor Gheorghe Leonida, the monument rises 98 feet above its pedestal and has become one of the world's most celebrated Christian landmarks.
