Never give up. Asian Games 2026 Gold medalist Yui SUSAKI never did. I first met Yui a few years ago, during her training camp in France ahead of the 2024 Olympics. Despite her incredible wrestling record, she was approachable, always smiling and welcoming to everyone. A year later, we met again, first to document her training at her gym in Tokyo, then in Normandy for the NWC. No matter the occasion, she always welcomed me with her unique energy and warmth. An amazing human being behind the athlete. I’m so honoured to have had her as a friend throughout these years. After she missed out on Olympic gold, I honestly didn’t know how she would react, given how untouchable her record had seemed until then. But she handled it with grace, and got straight back to work. Such an example of resilience for us all. Sometimes you lose, sometimes you win. But what matters most is this: Trust the process and embrace the grind, no matter what. I was so honoured to witness her compete at the Asian Games in Japan this year and bring home the gold medal. Thank you for reminding us all to : Never give up.

The other day @elitegluteisolatorx posted this picture and claimed it was from the 1980’s. Said he got the pics from @sandyonsandylane from her gym 40 years ago. I suspected foul play, so I used Claude and TinEye to help me track down the original pic. It’s of @rachelmclish doing a hack squat, lol. @elitegluteisolatorx will you please explain what happened? Did you do this or did Sandy? And why go to these extremes? I dealt with this same thing 6 years ago…someone posted a black and white pic of an oldtime strongman doing them. Had a handlebar mustache and everything. But if you zoomed in, you could see it was a Hammer Strength bench and Pendlay plates (modern equipment), and they used a sepia filter to make it appear legit. Also during this time was the fake Barbalho study where the authors completely fabricated the paper. They got exposed shortly afterwards by some of the industry’s top sports scientists. Turns out all of their papers were fake. It’s all so bizarre to me. Is it jealousy? Something else? Why do people go to these lengths to attempt to discredit me?
