Today doesn’t have to be perfect. Tomorrow gives us another chance. 🤍

Apparently, some people think being a Bookstagrammer is cringe… 👀📚

And do you know what? I used to think that too. I used to think… I can’t do that…. I can’t show my face!

Until I stopped worrying about what people might think and actually started putting myself out there.

Now I have a book community I adore, friendships I never expected, book mail that makes me feel like a kid at Christmas, opportunities I never imagined and, best of all, more chances to make memories with my boys.

I’ve received things that have benefited my family, discovered things that have helped me personally, and built something that is mine.

Did I expect any of this when I started posting about books? Absolutely not.

Am I going to stop because someone might think it’s embarrassing? Absolutely not. 😂

Life is too short to shrink yourself to make other people comfortable.

So here’s to being a little cringe, putting yourself out there, making internet friends and building a life that makes YOU happy. 🤍

Who’s embracing their cringe era with me? ✌️

Save this for the days you feel silly for trying, and send it to a friend who needs the reminder.

#DrDre’s “2001” is the most-streamed Hip Hop album of the 1990s 🏆🍃

Released in November 1999, Dr. Dre’s legendary sophomore album “2001” has now surpassed 6.5 BILLION streams, outperforming classic releases from 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G. and even Eminem.

But this incredible milestone raises one BIG question: When will “2001” receive an updated RIAA certification? 🤔

Despite its continued commercial success, “2001” remains certified 6x Platinum by the RIAA, representing 6 million units in the United States. Dre received this certification on November 21, 2000, and the album hasn’t been updated since.

To put those streaming numbers into perspective, 6.5 billion streams equates to approximately 4.33 MILLION album-equivalent units, based on the RIAA’s conversion rate of 1,500 streams per album unit. However, only eligible US streams would count towards an American certification.

And that’s before considering the nearly 26 YEARS of additional physical album sales and digital downloads since its last certification.

With timeless Hip Hop classics including “Still D.R.E.”, “Forgot About Dre”, “The Next Episode” and “Xxplosive”, the Aftermath Entertainment masterpiece continues to dominate streaming platforms more than a quarter of a century after its release.

Not only is “2001” one of the greatest Hip Hop albums of all time, but its true commercial performance could place it among the best-selling Rap albums in history.

Is it time for Dr. Dre’s “2001” to be certified DIAMOND? 💎
