CBID is made up of a very diverse body of students, all drawn to the program for different reasons. For Aditi, she was drawn to CBID while majoring in biomedical engineering at UNC Chapel Hill because of its project-based program. During her senior design class where she was working on developing a vacuum induced uterine tamponade system, she realized that working on these team-based projects was the part of biomedical engineering she liked the most. While Aditi’s story resonates amongst many of our students at CBID, we have many other students who have distinctly different backgrounds and interests.
