If You Were My Client… I’d look for what you could build beyond your sport.
Not because your sport isn’t an important part of your story — it absolutely is.
But building a valuable personal brand means understanding the whole athlete.
This week, I shared four different women-athlete scenarios — and four completely different possibilities.
🏀 A basketball player with a genuine love for food + cooking.
⚽ A soccer player whose personal style and love of fashion could become a more intentional part of her brand.
🏃🏾♀️ A track athlete who wants to build something of her own — and can start positioning herself for that future now.
🏐 A professional volleyball player whose natural communication skills could open doors in media, speaking, hosting and more.
I wouldn’t build their brands the same way.
Because personal brand strategy should be personal.
It starts with understanding who you are, what you’re naturally good at, what matters to you, what you want to be known for and where you want to go beyond your sport.
Then we build intentionally around that — and identify and secure opportunities that align with where you want to go.
At Step & Co. Creative, that’s what I help women athletes do.
Build the brand. Identify the opportunities. Secure the opportunities. Expand what’s possible beyond the game.
