This is my amazing and utterly inspiring friend @davidsmithmbe.💙 We met years ago when I was hosting the National Lottery Draws and one Wednesday night, he came on the show as a guest to start the Dream Number draw. He was part of the Team GB Paralympic rowing squad and we were on the countdown to London 2012. He went on to win gold. 🥇🙌🏻 David’s life has changed so much since then… He is now paralysed from the neck down and has spent most of the year in hospital. In February, David was told he had four months to live…. We are now at the end of October. Honestly, you will never meet more of a fighter. 💙 On one of the occasions I was visiting him in hospital, he was able to ‘walk’ with this incredible machine. It was a very special moment and he let me film it. I can’t begin to imagine the frustration and heartache of not being able to ski, to cycle, to walk, to row, to simply move, whenever you want, without questioning how. Yet still, David’s passion for life is very evident. He has a philosophy, ‘Be where your feet are’. It’s a reminder to enjoy the life you are in, to savour, appreciate and be grateful for where you are, and do things that light a fire in your heart. Keep fighting Dave! We’re all with you. 😍 @davidsmithmbe

What’s going on 💀 In a shocking mid-weekend twist, Haas F1 Team has suddenly replaced Esteban Ocon with reserve driver Ryo Hirakawa for the remainder of the 2026 Mexico City Grand Prix. While Haas explicitly confirmed the decision was not due to illness, the abrupt benchmarking follows growing internal friction and a tense radio exchange between Ocon and his race engineer during Friday practice over a last-minute tyre strategy change. The 32-year-old Hypercar Champion and Le Mans winner, Hirakawa, will partner Oliver Bearman to make his official Formula 1 race debut, leaving Ocon's immediate future with the team highly uncertain. This dramatic sidelining mirrors Ocon's abrupt departure from Alpine at the end of 2024 and comes just a month after Haas announced they would completely move on from the Frenchman for the 2027 season in favor of rookie Rafael Câmara. #formula1 #f1memes #racing #motorsport #f1reels

Anyone in Trump's cabinet claiming to oppose the war behind closed doors is a fucking coward. Man the fuck up and Joe Kent that shit. Escalation of the Iran war will plunge the globe into an economic depression. This is a war in three acts and we are approaching the final stage. Keep your head about you and I'll see you on the other side. God help us Long Live The Republic
