This absolute legend is trying to build an open-sourced smart digital cable machine that goes up to 220lbs resistance.

He wants to sell the modular electronics and motors but the shell can be CNC’d or 3d printed with the software and CAD/CNC files open-sourced.

It’s designed around a high-strength Dyneema cable, a single-layer level-wound drum, modular mounting, and an electronics stack that can be changed instead of locking the design to one exact set of components.

It would run on a removable battery that could come in different sized depending on the users need.

This would allow it to be upgraded over time as tech improves.

A few years ago, I was fighting to get justice for something that should never have happened to me. Now I’m sitting down with people in government discussing how we can change the law to protect others.

It honestly feels surreal even writing that.

Last week, my team and I met with representatives from DCMS and Andy Burnham’s team to get into the real details of Georgia’s Law.

Not just why we need it, but HOW we actually make it happen.

The hurdles we might face. The changes we need to make. The quickest way to get this legislation across the line.

And somewhere in the middle of all those conversations, I had one of those moments where I thought…

Oh my God. This is actually happening. 🥹

There’s still work to do, and nothing is guaranteed, but we’re getting closer to something that could make a real difference to so many lives.

A huge thank you to my amazing team of specialist lawyers at Payne Hicks Beach, and to Nick Hargrave and the brilliant team at Strand Partners, who are working tirelessly behind the scenes to help turn Georgia’s Law into a reality.
