The Doors - The Doors (1967)

180g Mono, reissue, standard black vinyl, 1LP (2009)

I only ‘discovered’ The Doors last year (I know, what the fuck) (thank you to a certain person I met, I know you’re reading this) and I’ve been diving in their whole discography ever since, but their self titled debut studio album is just such a classic. I’ve streamed it so many times now but some music just really isn’t meant to be streamed. With music like this it feels wrong. So I’ve been on the hunt for a nice second hand copy for a long time because I often prefer those. But I couldn’t seem to find it, and so eventually I went with this 2009 reissued mono version. So glad to finally have this amazing album in my collection and to be able to spin it! But I still might replace it one day if I find a good regular copy, because I find the sound to be a little poor unfortunately…
