๐ŸŒฟ Desi Amla Singhdana Tadka Chutney ๐ŸŒฟ comment down to get all my Amla recipes in one place. Itโ€™s a pdf containing different delicious ways to include Amla in your dietโ™ฅ๏ธ super helpful ๐ŸคŒ A little tangy, a little spicy, beautifully crunchy, and full of fresh flavours! โค๏ธ This is my desi-style amla chutney, made with fresh amla, roasted singdana, crushed garlic, fresh herbs, and a sizzling mustard oil tadka! ๐ŸŒฟ Itโ€™s a delicious way to incorporate seasonal amla into your meals without having to eat it plain or drink it as a shot. And the best part? Itโ€™s not just about vitamin C! This chutney brings together healthy fats, fibre, antioxidants, and plenty of flavour in every spoonful. Hereโ€™s something I absolutely love about adding amla to a desi thali! ๐ŸŒฟ Amla is naturally rich in vitamin C, which helps your body absorb non-heme iron (the type of iron found in plant foods) more efficiently. So, when you pair this chutney with your everyday dal, legumes, leafy greens, or other iron-rich vegetarian meals, youโ€™re not just adding flavour, youโ€™re also helping your body make better use of the iron on your plate! โค๏ธ ๐ŸŒฟ Every ingredient brings something to the table! ๐ŸŸข Amla: Rich in vitamin C and polyphenols; supports collagen formation, immune function, and plant-based iron absorption. ๐Ÿฅœ Roasted singdana (peanuts): Provides heart-friendly unsaturated fats, plant protein, fibre, and vitamin E. ๐Ÿง„ Garlic: Crushing raw garlic activates the formation of allicin, a beneficial sulfur compound with antimicrobial and potential heart-health benefits. Since weโ€™re not cooking the garlic, more of this heat-sensitive compound can be preserved ๐Ÿง… Onion: Provides quercetin, an antioxidant flavonoid, along with prebiotic fibres. ๐Ÿ… Tomatoes: Contain lycopene, a carotenoid with antioxidant properties. ๐ŸŒฑ Coriander & mint: Add flavour, small amounts of micronutrients, and beneficial plant compounds. ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Green chillies: Contribute vitamin C and capsaicin, along with that lovely spicy kick. ๐ŸŒฟ Mustard oil: Provides unsaturated fats and adds that unmistakable pungent desi flavour. ๐Ÿ‹ Lemon: Adds another little boost of vitamin C, supporting iron absorption.
