$Released in 2015, Aambala is a Tamil action-comedy film directed by Sundar C and starring Vishal, who also produced the venture under his Vishal Film Factory banner. The narrative centers on Saravanan (Vishal)—a man who runs a crowd-gathering business for political events—who falls in love with Maya (Hansika Motwani), only to discover that his family history is deeply fractured due to a long-standing feud in his native Madurai. Upon learning that his father, Aalavanthan (Prabhu), has been estranged from his three powerful sisters following a complex past, Saravanan and his brothers head down south to bridge the family divide. What follows is a colorful, high-energy entertainer loaded with trademark Sundar C tropes—including an expansive ensemble cast featuring Santhanam, Vaibhav, Sathish, and powerful antagonists like Ramya Krishnan and Pradeep Rawat—culminating in a series of comedic misunderstandings, high-octane action sequences, romance, and a grand family reunion underscored by Hiphop Tamizha’s hit soundtrack.
