This may be my most surprising food find in Taipei to date, and yes, I was influenced by the local influencers. 😂 You can get the viral Erewhon smoothie experience in Taipei for about half the price of the originals in LA, and I had to see what the hype was about. @heyday.taipei is a cafe in Taipei’s Xinyi District serving Erewhon smoothie dupes inspired by the famous Hailey Bieber Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie and the blue smoothie that’s been going viral on social media. I tried both the pink and blue versions, and if you’re in Taiwan and curious about the celebrity smoothie trend, but don’t want to spend $20+ on a smoothie, this is the place to try! The Hailey-inspired Glow smoothie is made with Greek yogurt, strawberries, raspberries, rose, honey, maple syrup, acai powder and collagen powder. It costs NT$360 (about US$11), compared with around US$19–21 for the original Erewhon version. Heyday has six smoothies on the menu, ranging from NT$280–420 (about US$9–13). A bit splurgy for Taiwan but if you’re visiting from N. America these are a great price point. Options include a green blend with mango, pineapple, spinach, cucumber and mint, plus blueberry and banana combinations, protein powder and other add-ons. So even if the celebrity-inspired drinks aren’t your thing, there are plenty of other blends to try.
