Stumperies were popular garden features in Victorian times but are bang on trend now in contemporary gardens. Old tree stumps and branches are a great way of recycling old rotting stumps from fallen down trees that others might throw away. Stumperies and ferns are ideal for damp, shady corners of the garden where many other plants will struggle to grow. Stumperies are great for attracting wildlife. Please don’t dig up ferns from the wild.
