Wednesday night in West Hills, a multi-vehicle crash on Fallbrook Avenue just north of Victory Boulevard created a major mess after several vehicles collided, including a Stonefire Grill catering van. The catering van ended up in a nearby parking lot missing a wheel, with equipment and other items scattered across the area. LAPD and LAFD responded to the scene and treated those involved. No word yet on whose catering order never made it. If you’ve been involved in an accident and need help, call @injuryneeds at 1-800-888-8008. 📷 @fernywhitey @injuryneeds

Ibrahim Fawaz, an 18-year-old from Dearborn, has been identified as the young man who died following a motorcycle crash involving a Wyandotte police cruiser Thursday night. The crash occurred near West Jefferson and Sibley roads in Riverview following a police pursuit. A Wyandotte police cruiser reportedly ended up on top of the motorcycle and rider following the crash. Fawaz was reportedly not breathing at the scene and received CPR while being transported to the hospital. He later died. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear, including how the police cruiser ended up on top of the motorcycle. No determination of fault has been announced. According to a funeral announcement issued by the Islamic Institute of Knowledge in Dearborn, visitation services for Fawaz will be held Friday, October 16, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, October 17, from noon to 2 p.m. Burial will follow Saturday’s services at Islamic Memorial Gardens in Westland.
