Sofia is a Los Angeles-based fashion designer, garment specialist, and founder of Costura Lab, a fashion development and production studio in the heart of the Los Angeles Fashion District.
Born in Lima, Peru, she has formal arts training in technical apparel design and fashion merchandising. Sofia leverages a hands-on approach to the fashion process when bringing an idea from concept to finished garment. Her experience spans apparel design, product development, garment construction, and local production.
Through Costura Lab, Sofia works alongside designers and creatives to make fashion production more accessible, while championing local talent and responsible practices. She believes fashion has the power to create opportunity, foster connection, and positively impact the people and communities behind every garment.
