Love isn’t about loving the same person forever.
It’s about learning to love the person they become.

Because the person you fell in love with at 22 might not be the same person at 30.
Life changes people.
Motherhood changes people.
Hardships change people.
Dreams change. Priorities change. Even the way someone needs to be loved changes.

And sometimes, we make the mistake of expecting someone to remain exactly who they were when we first met them.

But real love requires curiosity.

You have to keep discovering them.
Keep listening to them.
Keep noticing the little changes.
Keep understanding what they need now, not what they needed years ago.

At 25, maybe they needed romance.
At 40, maybe they need respect.
At 50, maybe they need partnership.
At 60, maybe they simply need your presence.

The person beside you will keep evolving, and so will you.

So you have a choice every time they change:
you can complain that they aren’t the person you fell in love with…
or you can fall in love with the person they’re becoming.

Because lasting love isn’t about finding someone who never changes.

It’s about choosing each other through every version.

Again and again.
Year after year.
Even when life gets difficult.
Even when the relationship looks different than it did before.

Maybe that’s the real secret to loving someone for a lifetime — never stop getting to know them. ❤️
