So I decided to get some Daniel Smith watercolor tubes. I just got some skin tone colors and used my Holbein for the rest of the palette. The D.S. Colors are very powerful and as I was using them for the first time, they were hard to control. But I’ll learn as I get used to them. I also used more brushes in the final touches. The cool warm background dichotomy was also an intentional experiment. I used a loose initial drawing for the composition. #watercolor #watercolorportrait #watercolours #portraitpainting #myart

Great job! Watercolor portraits are not for the faint of heart.

Amazing! You are so gifted with watercolor portraits. I started with Van Gogh watercolors, then moved to Winsor & Newton and lately have been getting Daniel Smiths as I finish my tubes of Winsor and Newton. I love the rich vibrancy of the Daniel Smith colors.
