“Today is the day” is what continually repeated in my head today at church. As pastor Daniel was preaching about well worship vs puddle worship. In that moment I realized that all my life has been puddle worship, putting God only in places of my life I wanted help, but never in the areas where I needed the help. I lived a life up until this point where my relationship with God was superficial, and I always knew there was more for me to give. I tried to be in control, rather than letting God have control. I never tried to empty myself for him to fulfill me. But today as I kept thinking that phrase, it clicked that God was speaking to me. Telling me the wait is over and it’s time for me to completely surrender EVERYTHING to him and come home. I had plans of getting baptized in the future but was trying to find the perfect time. That time kept getting pushed off. Today I had no intention of getting baptized. But we don’t live according to our plans, however, we live that according to our father in heaven. This decision brought me to a level of peace and joy that I will remember forever. I sat in my truck after and balled my eyes out in tears of joy. The sense of joy I’ve always heard of and thought I understood, but never truly had. The joy of knowing I am a child of God and he will follow me forever. I know the struggles and challenges will become more difficult from the enemy. BUT no power of the enemy is stronger than our God. Jesus is my Lord and savior. He has saved me time and time again. I will live for him and him through me. God is so good ❤️
