@nyrr Staten Island Half Marathon does not owe me anything, what rain, what elevation? I had so much fun being a one woman cheer squad on the course for wave 1 and all the run friends ahead of me or behind me.

Some of us thrive in the darkness because it is a reminder that we are the light, as the rain came down I did not question why am I doing this because every bit of me enjoyed chasing another mile. The euphoria got real. 3 more Sundays for the big big show.

Getting my medal by @laadybee245 was the perfect hug and @ted_deluxe cheering as I crossed the finish line was the best welcome to another finish line.

Running is a gift I never take for granted.
