๐ SAUDADE YOU CAN TOUCH ๐
Polaroid film has long been part of how memories are made, captured and kept in Brazil.
Saudade You Can Touch, produced by Runner Filmes and GAFE Filmes and directed by Gabi Lisboa, is a five-episode series shot entirely on 16mm, portraying a new generation of Brazilian photographers who use Polaroid Photos as both a creative tool and a way of preserving personal memories.
The title comes from โsaudade,โ a Portuguese word with no exact translation, describing a deep feeling of longing shaped by memory, love and absence.
At its core, the project is about turning something intangible into something physical, an image you can hold, keep and return to over time.
In the first episode, we meet Amanda Aguiar (
@amaalplp), whose relationship with photography moves between work, friendship, everyday life and the instinct to preserve moments before they disappear.
