Thank you to everyone who came out! I love how loud these events are - as if we’ve been waiting to see each other and when we do, we just don’t hold back! The change in name - from AfroHairUAE to Crown - has come from a genuine belief that we are all queens (Sheikhas in Arabic) crowned in strands which are directed towards the sun. We’ve been taught to believe otherwise but it’s time to reclaim our natural identities. In the UAE 🇦🇪, convenience is a given. It’s about time we caught up.
