Your hair was thriving before you moved to the UAE… so what happened?! 👀😭

Because somewhere between the heat, the water and adjusting to life in a completely different climate, your crown might have started acting a little differently.

We’re breaking down why your hair might not be thriving in the UAE in this carousel 👉🏾

And this is just the beginning.

If you want more advice, practical tips and teaching to help you understand and care for your Afro hair in the UAE, join our WhatsApp community and learn alongside women who get it, ask questions and share what’s actually working for them.

One thing I definitely underestimated when I moved to Dubai was how much I’d have to figure out when it came to my hair.

Where do I buy the right products? Who can I actually trust with my hair? Where are the good salons?

And honestly, this community has been such a big part of figuring that out.

Autumnal Afro 🧡🤎💚🤌🏾✨
As we transition into the cooler weather, we can leave our hair out a little bit longer in between protective styles… There’s no better time in the UAE 🇦🇪 to rock your fro!

Tag us @crown__uae and use the hashtag #crownautumnalafro if you do!

Is your hair dry in the UAE? 🇦🇪
This is how I lock in moisture for my two sons! Do you use heat caps? Let me know in the comments!

Drop a 👑 to claim your Afromation!

These ones are specific for the Winter Weather with a blend of Crown Launch reminders. Now that it’s getting cool, we might need to swap out our old products and replace them. We can welcome the thicker butters once again as the moisture won’t be leaving our tresses as quickly. We may be able to stretch out the wash day and not have to refresh as often. You may notice a change in your hair - it’s not U, it’s the UAE 🇦🇪 Take time to figure out what your hair needs now.

I’m still buzzing from the Crown Launch 👑🚀
We saw so many different styles - all of them beautifully unique. These Afromations are a reminder that we, the Afro Sheikhas, are very much here. You are not alone. You don’t need to fit in but you do with us.

You can find us our community on WhatsApp and find everything else you need, including our growing directory, on our website: wearecrown.ae x by @crown__uae

What an amazing day celebrating curls with @crown__uae! 🤍✨ We loved sharing why Fehmale’s premium formulations work so well in the UAE climate, helping your curls thrive despite the heat, humidity, and hard water. ☀️💦

A huge thank you to @crown__uae for bringing us together, and to all the beautiful curly heads we had the pleasure of meeting! 😍

Haven’t experienced the FEHMALE difference yet? This is your sign to give your curls the care they deserve! 🛍️🤍

The Crown Launch 👑🚀
Thank you to everyone who came out! I love how loud these events are - as if we’ve been waiting to see each other and when we do, we just don’t hold back! The change in name - from AfroHairUAE to Crown - has come from a genuine belief that we are all queens (Sheikhas in Arabic) crowned in strands which are directed towards the sun. We’ve been taught to believe otherwise but it’s time to reclaim our natural identities. In the UAE 🇦🇪, convenience is a given. It’s about time we caught up.

Check out wearecrown.ae for everything the natural hair girlies in the UAE need. Our directory is growing, our blogposts are being written by the community and events are being planned. Stay in the loop by visiting our website and joining our WhatsApp community (it’s popping!).
