Rest in Peace to the United States Air Force service member who tragically fell during a pregame rappelling demonstration at the UTSA & Navy football game last night.

The service member was assigned to the 6th Combat Training Squadron, Detachment 2. The Air Force said the incident is currently under investigation.

The service member has not been identified.

I know the video is being posted around, but I chose to not include it because why do we need to see/spread and show this more.

This is truly a horrific tragedy that shouldn’t have happened. Prayers to this service members family and friends. Just very sad news to read this morning.

Rest in Peace🕊️

One day, the little feet that kicked you in the middle of the night will stop coming to your bed. 🥺❤️

At first, you might feel exhausted when your child wakes you up with nightmares, asks to sleep between you, or takes up every inch of your bed. You might complain about losing sleep, having no space, and never getting a peaceful night.

But one day, those little footsteps will disappear. Your child will grow up, find his own space, and stop needing you in the same way. The bed that once felt too crowded will suddenly feel too big. The room that was once filled with little voices, endless questions, and restless nights will become quiet.

And perhaps, years later, you'll look at an old family photograph and realize that the moments you once wished would end were the moments you would give anything to experience again.

So, when your child comes to you after a nightmare, wants to hold your hand, or asks to sleep beside you just one more night, remember this: childhood doesn't last forever, but the memories you create together can last a lifetime.

One day, you won't have to make room for those little feet anymore. You'll simply wish they were there. 🥹

Hug them a little longer. Listen a little closer. Be patient through the sleepless nights. Because someday, you'll miss even the chaos.

❤️ Your children won't stay little forever, but the love you give them will stay with them forever.

The LAX People Mover tracks caught fire, reportedly pushing the long-awaited opening back yet again—now into mid-2027.

At some point, taxpayers have to ask: why do so many major publicly funded projects in California struggle to stay on schedule and on budget?

From the LAX People Mover to California’s high-speed rail project to the Annenberg Wildlife Bridge - delays, ballooning costs, and questions about oversight have become a recurring source of frustration. Regardless of political party, taxpayers should be demanding accountability, transparency, and answers about where the money is going and why these projects continue to fall behind.

We’re paying for it. We should expect better.

Things that I spend hours fretting about in the middle of the night:
1) The time I got my period at a white party in 11th grade.
2) The idea that we are losing a shared sense of reality as a society.
The latter is clearly way more important. What happens when people stop believing that truth exists? Where do you still find truth?
