This week is a heavy week, for obvious reasons. 2 years pass in the blink of an eye.
Creating this fund has been bittersweet, but every time I post, regardless of if it’s something nice, it’s a reminder of the reality.
I’ve loved reading the kind messages and comments since I started this - and everytime a donation comes through, I’m still in awe of people’s generosity.

I can’t believe it’s almost 2 years either! I think what you’re doing is amazing and is exactly what Liam would want. And more than that, you are showing everyone who Liam was…not the narrative that the negative part of the media and social media has tried to portray, but the real Liam. You were part of the good in his life. He will always be remembered, and he will always be missed.❤️💜

I grew up like every little girl did which was hating her body and now I’m trying to become a woman who loves it… and it’s not easy.
Teaching self-love is really difficult because it’s not always complementing yourself. It’s knowing yourself, spending time with yourself, being intimate with yourself, and then loving whatever version shows up.
And it takes time.
And it’s not easy.
But I think it’s worth it.

We all have in us the ability to fall in love with ourselves and that doesn’t mean we stop finding parts that we’d like to change, or that disappoint us. A parent can be disappointed in their child’s actions but still love them as a person. A human can still grow even if they show themselves ultimate kindness.
It’s a process… and I don’t have the answers on how to do it exactly. That’s why I was nervous to be apart of this self love campaign. How can a woman who still beats herself up for how she looks or dresses or for the things she says stand on a literal pedestal and talk about self love?
So the script changed— I didn’t “teach self-love” like what was discussed. I spoke about how difficult is to.
I didn’t say “I loved my body.” I said I’m trying.
I didn’t say “I achieved” self love. I said I’m striving.
All we can do is know ourselves, spend time with ourselves, be intimate with ourselves, and love whatever version shows up. And love it imperfectly.
Try saying “I love my mind, body, and soul, exactly as it is… right now.
