HU Staff: Ariela AnΓs @ari.anis A Minnesota Burger King employee is going viral after wearing blackface and admitting she β€œjust wanted to be Black” for Halloween this year. As her face goes viral, social media users have flocked and flooded the review section on the restaurant’s Google page. ___________________________________________________ On Saturday (October 31), a Black woman from Minneapolis, Minnesota shared a video to Facebook. In the caption, she wrote, β€œY’all taking this HALLOWEEN SH*T TO[O] FAR NOW 😀. Go wipe that sh*t off yo face BECKY BEFORE MY BLK A** GET MAD πŸ˜’.” In the clip, a White woman working the drive-thru at a Burger King is seen in blackface. The video begins with the Black woman repeating her off-camera conversation with the employee. The employee said, β€œI’m just Black today. You said, β€˜Did I think it was ok?’ I said, β€˜As long as you have a good heart.’” When asked if she believed her intentions were good and is a supporter of Black Lives Matter, the employee took a moment and then said, β€œWell, no. I just wanted to be Black.” ___________________________________________________ The Black woman asked, β€œWhy would you want to be Black? Do you know the struggles we go through as Black people?” The employee started laughing and trying to contain it. She nervously said, β€œNo..Yes I do. I mean, no. No, I don’t. No, I don’t.” The video then ends. In the comments of her post, the Black woman screenshot the location of the Burger King, located in Faribault, Minnesota. She said, β€œCall n report her black ass yall 😭🫩.” Under the reviews on the restaurant’s Google page, social media users have flooded with criticism and negative reviews, citing the employee’s Halloween costume choice. ___________________________________________________ Click the link in bioΒ for full story πŸ“Έ @chevy_rr64
