I wear Pettis with a cotton layer on the bottom so I can scoop everything into that bottom layer and hold it out of the way. For that time of the month I wear period underwear in addition to whatever else I'm using so that there is no way it will get on my nice clothes. I don't have a super heavy flow though. I understand the fear is real.

For heavy frills i use a sash i keep in my bag. I use the underskirt to hold the petticoat and dress skirt like I'm bagging it all tightly. Then secure it with the sash by tying it all around my body, right above the chest. I feel like a dumpling but i have both hands available to use.

Scoop it all up in the under-layer of the petti or hoop skirt! It helps contain it better! (Edited to add: I need to know where you got your hat/canotier, it’s SO cute! 🥺)

I never really wear my dresses on my period but if I really want to I wear my gothic selections x) fits my vibe at the time and is easier to hide any stains if the unthinkable happens lolz
