This wasn't on our plans for the week... but life has a way of sometimes suddenly bringing you to your knees and reminding you what really matters. ❤️

Here is a small update for GoodLuck fans: The last few days have been a bit of a rollercoaster for us. On Sunday I noticed something strange about Ben’s eye - it was super puffy so we thought maybe allergies & gave him an antihistamine. Then, yesterday he noticed one pupil was much smaller than the other. He’d had a small headache the day before, but otherwise felt completely fine. Thankfully we decided to get it checked out.

After a full day (in a very busy) emergency room & a few scans later and we’ve discovered an abnormality in one of the main arteries supplying blood to his brain, with doctors suspecting a small tear in the artery wall. He’s now in hospital being monitored while they work out the best way forward.

Thankfully there’s no sign of a stroke and he’s feeling good, but wow... what an unexpected wake-up call.

I think we’ve been running at a million miles an hour for so long that we’ve almost forgotten how to slow down. Between the music, the shows, the festivals and being parents, life has been FULL. Beautifully full, but full nonetheless.

And suddenly, none of the deadlines or to-do lists seem quite so important.🙏

We’re feeling incredibly grateful that we caught this early, and it’s been a big reminder to slow down a little, be present and hold each other a little bit closer.

We might need to take our foot off the gas for a moment while Ben recovers, but we’ll keep you posted. Sending love to you all, and a little reminder to look after yourselves and each other. ❤️

Byron Donalds just made history in Florida.

He won the race for Florida governor and becomes the state's first Black governor, and the first Black Republican ever elected governor in the U.S. He beat Democrat David Jolly and takes over from Ron DeSantis in January. In his victory speech he talked insurance bills, housing and the cost of living.
