I spent my 44th birthday in Italy- yes I know I go to Italy way too often but there are endless places I’ve never been and each region is so wildly different, it truly feels like you are exploring a new country. The first half of the trip, I spent in the north part of Lake Garda- I have been to the south end of the lake previously and loved it but the north was soooo up my alley, I can’t believe I had never been before. The most charming, colourful towns with mountain views, endless hiking trails to turquoise alpine lakes and some of the most delicious food I’ve ever had in Italy. If you love biking, hiking, any type of water sports or are even remotely outdoorsy, you would love northern Lake Garda.
