Working with the wrong clients taught me how to recognize the right ones. Not all money is good money, and the price of a project is only part of the equation. The real cost is the time, energy, and attention it takes to get paid and get the work done.

In my experience, higher value clients often come with less friction. They understand the outcome they’re buying, respect the process, and value your time.

Meanwhile, the clients who negotiate every dollar, ask for discounts before understanding the value, or need endless follow ups can end up costing you far more than you ever discounted.

The goal isn’t to get every client. It’s to build a business that attracts the right ones.

Raise your standards. Improve your positioning. Deliver undeniable value. And stop confusing revenue with a good business.

Better clients. Better work. Better business.
