I picked "Hindu Meal" thinking it meant vegetarian… and almost ended up with chicken on my plate 😳✈️
Here's what nobody tells you 👇
🍗 HNML (Hindu Meal): no beef or pork, but it CAN have chicken, lamb or fish. It is NOT vegetarian.
✅ What to pick instead:
🥘 AVML (Asian Vegetarian): Indian-style veg with dal, sabzi and paneer. Dairy is included. This is the one most of us actually want.
🌱 VGML (Vegan): no meat, eggs or dairy.
🧀 VLML (Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian): Western-style veg that can include eggs and dairy.
🙏 JNML (Jain Meal): no onion, garlic or root vegetables.
💡 Pro tips:
• Book your meal at least 24–48 hrs before the flight
• Re-confirm it at check-in, because meal requests do get missed
• Tell the crew when you board so they don't hand you the default tray
Comment "VEG" and I'll DM you my veg flyer's cheat sheet 🛫
